A Laparoscopic Supracervial Hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus while preserving the cervix. The uterus is sectioned at the isthmus leaving the cervix.

Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

 

A Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus and the cervix. The cervix is exposed by dissecting the ligaments and transecting the blood supply.

LAVH – Laparoscopically
Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy

 

A Laparoscopically Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus and the cervix. The ligaments and blood supply are dissected or transected laparoscopically.

Myomectomy –
Laparoscopic procedure

 

Myomectomy is the surgical removal of fibroids/myomas. The uterus is preserved as well as the reproductive ability. When sectioned the myoma is extracted by a morcellator.
